Emily Ellerby-Hunt’s quick and handy guide to the non-dairy milk alternatives available in our favourite chain cafes, from Costa Coffee to Caffè Nero.

Non-dairy alternatives to cow’s milk are becoming more and more popular, with many people choosing to switch to plant-based options. When out and about, knowing what you can get and where to find them can be very handy, and saves the awkwardness of having to ask – especially as some places don’t advertise it on their boards! If the benefits and drawbacks of particular plant-based milks interests you, the BBC released an article detailing not only which dairy-free milks are available, but also how they stand up to cow’s milk.
If you’re just finding your feet with swapping to plant-based milks, here is a handy guide to some chain stores, and which dairy-free milks you can expect to find!
